  • 4 slices of wholemeal bread
  • 1 goat cheese log
  • 4 teaspoons of honey
  • 1 handful of walnuts
  • A few sprouts
  • Pepper

These goat cheese, honey, and Jean Martin Fig Confit toasts are a quick and elegant sweet-and-savory appetizer, ready in 10 minutes.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  • Spread the fig confit onto the slices of bread.
  • Cut slices of goat cheese log and place them on the toasts.
  • Drizzle a little honey over the top. Add pepper to the toasts.
  • Bake for 5 minutes at 200°C (390°F).
  • Crush the walnuts and sprinkle them over the toasts once removed from the oven.
  • Add a few sprouts or rosemary leaves.

Our tip

Keep a close eye on the baking starting from the 4th minute: the goat cheese should be melted but not completely liquid so that it stays firmly on the toast.

Variation

Replace the walnuts with crushed hazelnuts for a slightly different flavor.
