These pasta with creamy bell pepper sauce and burrata are a comforting and indulgent dish, ready in 20 minutes thanks to our Jean Martin bell pepper cream.
Preparation
Bring a pot of hot water to a boil and cook the pasta.
Drain and set aside.
Finely slice an onion and sauté in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil.
Lower the heat and pour in the bell pepper cream.
Add the ricotta and stir until you reach a creamy and smooth texture.
Add the pasta and mix everything over medium heat.
Season with salt and pepper.
Roughly chop the burrata and add to the mixture.
Garnish with a few basil leaves before serving.
Our tip
Add the burrata at the very end, off the heat: the residual heat is enough to melt it slightly without it completely losing its characteristic creamy texture.
Variation
Add a few chopped sun-dried tomatoes for more character.
Pairings & suggestions
A dry Italian white wine like Vermentino goes very well with this creamy dish.
