Preparing homemade puff pastry pinwheels
Unroll a ready-to-use puff pastry sheet onto its parchment paper.
Spread black tapenade, sun-dried tomato cream, or anchoïade evenly over the entire surface, according to your preference.
Then roll the pastry sheet tightly into a log, keeping the parchment paper on to help it hold its shape.
Place the log in the freezer for about 2 hours to firm it up and allow for clean slicing.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (conventional heat).
Cut the log into thin, even slices to form the puff pastry pinwheels.
Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them slightly apart.
Brush them lightly with olive oil or milk for a nice golden color when baked.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the pinwheels are golden brown and crispy.
👉 Carefully monitor the baking to prevent them from browning too quickly.
